Public Citizen previously joined partner organizations to\u00a0<a title=\"https:\/\/americalabs.org\/2025\/03\/21\/us-civil-society-asks-open-government-partnership-to-place-us-government-under-review\/\" href=\"https:\/\/americalabs.org\/2025\/03\/21\/us-civil-society-asks-open-government-partnership-to-place-us-government-under-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"1\">urge OGP<\/a>\u00a0to ensure the U.S. was hewing to OGP transparency expectations for partner nations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Susan Harley, managing director of Public Citizen\u2019s Congress Watch<\/strong>, released the following statement:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn a brazen, if implicit, acknowledgement of its current lack of transparency, the U.S. government has turned its back on the global open government collaboration entity it helped create.
